The Latest

So here's just a quick run down of what's been going on at the Morgan house. Justin had his 32nd birthday. Yes, that's water down his shirt - he was filling up his camelback to go on his Saturday morning mountain bike ride with his friends. I'll have to post some pictures of that sometime.
Macey and I made his favorite dessert - cake pops. Although we altered the recipe a bit so it's more like mini cupcakes. And yes, they are as good, maybe even better than they look.

Here's Macey and her creation. She was soo proud of it!
The raggedy quilt is finally finished! I love how it puckered up and got all raggedy after being washed. I just had to show it off one last time. I've got two more quilts in the works. One I've just got to put the binding on and then I'll post pictures. The other one is a nine-patch made out of scraps from another quilt.
I was just informed this morning that there are only 65 days until BYU's first football game. Oh boy!
Part of being an old man means kidney stones. This one is a whole millimeter larger than his last one. That's huge in kidney stone size!

Also I've found a solution to my picture problem. The problem was that I've got thousands and thousands of adorable pictures saved on the computer. And even though they are back up on a external hard drive and then saved onto CD's, it still made me nervouse that something could happen and I would lose everything. I've given up on trying to scrapbook every picture. I hate sitting at the computer more than I have to to do digital pages, and I'm just not a paper scrapper. The solution to my anxiety? I would take a month and in that month print out 15-20 of the best pictures. Then I got these pages dividers at Roberts. There are 3 slots for 4x6 photos. So you can put 6 pictures per page. You can get a box of 50 for $13. And then to send pictures to Costco only costs 12 cents per picture. Not bad at all for some peace of mind! So here's a picture of how it's organized. There is a one inch slot on the right side, I printed out a little label of the month and year and slid that in. So every thing is in order by month. Anyways, I thought I would post about that because I get lots of helpfull ideas off other peoples blogs so maybe this will help someone else out.

That's great that you are keeping up on the photo thing! I am behind. I think it's been a year since I did my last photo blog book, so I think it's time to do another one... I'm just dreading it though because it's a lot of work!

Oh, and I love your quilt!

Who would have thought that 10 years later, these photo books would be back in. I think it is a great idea, I can't bring myself to digital scrapbook anymore either. I am already at the computer long enough as it is. That pic of Macey and her cupcake creation is super cute.

Thanks! Yes, I will be doing mini sessions soon. I will probably do some in the next week or two. I have a friend that I'm going to do it with and we'll just do them in the clubhouse up the street from me. Were you wanting studio ones or outdoor ones? We'll being doing a mini studio day. If you want outdoor ones let me know and I'll see what we can do.
