Projects & a toddler bob

There's not a lot of super exciting news to post about, but we have been busy with lots of little projects. My gardens making good progress. Justin finally got the drip system installed last week so I don't have to go out every morning and water it. He also put a shade up over my other garden box because the 'maters don't seem to love the summer sun. So far all we've been able to eat out the garden is cilantro. I love cilantro, but I'm ready for some real vegetables!

This is a quilt I've been working on to go on Maceys bed. She's still in a crib for now, but I figured by the time I actually get this done she will be ready for a twin size bed. It's a ragged square pattern. The only thing left to do is the machine quilting. I'm trying to do it myself so it might be awhile before it's done at the rate I go.

My favorite part of the quilt (beside the ragged edges the will fluff up all cute when it gets washed) is the back. I got this idea of crazymomquilts.blogspot. She always puts something on the backside so it's kinda like a two sided quilt.

I just bought this material yesterday at Scrap Apple! I looooove it! It's the bubble gum line from Moda. I love that the colors are so bright and summery! I should probably finish my other project before I start this one, but I'm making it to enter into a contest with a deadline in four weeks, so I better get crackin'!

I decided it's probably time to cut off the baby hair {sob}. Look how long and pretty it was! It was getting kinda scraggly on the bottom and since she was the only girl in nursery that still hadn't gotten her hair cut I gave in. So here's the before picture.

Here's the "during" picture. She was actually pretty good. I was really suprised because she usually freaks out whenever someone she doesn't know gets close to her.

And here's the after. We tried to do her two-year-old pictures ourselves and after about 300+ pictures only ended up with about 2 or 3 that are OK.

Anyways, that's all for now!

I love the raggedy edge quilts! Is it hard to do? I think it would be fun to try one, someday. Macey looks more grown up with the new haircut, it looks cute.

Cute hair, you'll have to put more pics on of her! She looks like she's so grown up with her new short hair!

The quilt is so cute, I'm excited to see what you make with your new material!

If you ever want some pics taken let me know, I'm going to be doing a giveaway soon for a free session, so you'll have to enter! Also, either later this week, or in a couple weeks I will be doing mini sessions that will probably only be like $20.

Thanks for the link, I totally want to do it now. :) Do you have a heavy duty sewing machine, or a special quilting one? I just have a regular machine and I'm wondering if I'd be able to quilt the middle with it all bunched up against my SM.

I looked at the comment thing on my blog, I'm not sure why it's not the normal form. I tried to see if I could fix it to be the regular one, but I'm not sure how. Anyway, I added your comment, and made it so anomyous people could comment, so if you want other enteries you can comment that way. Also, if you sign in then comment it will have you on there (your blog is actually your google account).
